EU Mission: Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities

Cities are home to 75% of EU citizens. They play a pivotal role in achieving climate neutrality by 2050, the goal of the European Green Deal. Furthermore, cities consume over 65% of the world’s energy and account for more than 70% of global CO2 emissions. European cities can contribute to the Green Deal target of reducing emissions by 55% by 2030 and ensure cleaner air, safer transport and less congestion and noise for their citizens.

ROADPOL Safety Days

The 'ROADPOL Safety Days' is an awareness raising campaign that aims to reduce the number of traffic fatalities across Europe to zero. This year, the campaign runs alongside the EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK main event from 16 – 22 September. Towns and cities are highly encouraged to organise a ROADPOL Safety Day as part of their week of sustainable mobility awareness raising activities.
