European Mobility Week 2009 in Almada
The European Mobility Week and Car Free Day 2009 in Almada will be organized again in partnership with the Local Energy Management Agency, and the active participation and involvement of dozens of local different entities such as transport operators, schools, NGO’s, cultural, sportive and youth associations, etc.

One of the main pillars of the strategy of implemmenting EMW and CFD in Almada is the effort to reach local communities by moving the event annually to a new borough. In 2004, Almada started a policy of itineration of the CFD campaign through different Boroughs, as a way to expand the spirit of the initiative, and contribute to a better mobility in different areas of the municipality.

In 2009, CFD will take place by the first time in Feijó Borough, in an urban area near schools and residences. Click to see the whole program and the zone of the CFD in Almada.
