European Green Capital Awards Ceremony 2009
A record number of 66 cities submitted an application for the European Mobility Week (EMW) Award 2009. The Award jury, which met on 16 December 2008 in Brussels, has selected the ten best applications, including three finalists.

Monday 23 February, the winning cities will be highlighted at the EMW 2009 Award Ceremony in the prestigious Bibliothèque Solvay in the presence of Commisionner Dimas. The Ceremony, which is organised in conjunction with the European Green Capital Award Ceremony, will begin at 3pm with speeches from three speakers on the links between the EMW and the Copenhagen process, on the 2009 theme and on the European Action Plan for urban mobility.

The keynote speeches will follow by introductions to the shortlisted cities and the presentation of the Awards to the winners. The event will be concluded with a cocktail reception in the evening.
