European Mobility Week 2010 in Bologna, Italy
In 2010, the Municipality of Bologna will join the European Mobility Week for yet another year. From the 16th to the 22nd of September, many initiatives and events will promote sustainable mobility and present plans to the citizens.

The focus of the 2010 programme is represented by the two days of events dedicated to the promotion of sustainability by the Municipality of Bologna. This effort is in collaboration with public and private sector, and aims to spread the message of sustainable consumption and lifestyles. Such events, dedicated to healthy and sustainable lifestyles, will be held in the compound of Piazza Maggiore and Piazza Nettuno (the two main and most lively squares within the city centre). Several initiatives will be proposed to citizens and stakeholders around the city during the entire week.

The events will focus on cycling, walking and public transport use: new services and opportunities to practice sustainable mobility, with the central theme of matching the edition of European Mobility Week (“Travel Smarter, Live Better”). To this purpose, events focused on mobility and transport matters will be strictly connected to initiatives mainly focused on the promotion of physical activity, obesity tackling and periodical health checking, as described on the list of events that will be proposed:
