Detailed description (English): On 21st September 20 young people will take their bikes with them and join our Youth Mobile Conference visiting 4 info points around the City of Skopje during the day.
1st info point - debate on the topic “Smart Mobility”
2nd into point – presentation of the upcoming “SocialCar” project of The City of Skopje which will put in practice the well-known concept for carpooling.
3rd info point – presentation at the Social Innovations Hub (the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering) of mobile applications for measuring CO2 and other GHG emissions while using different means of transportation
4th info point – sharing experiences with the guys from the non-formal initiative NaTochak (OnBike) about their demands for better bike culture and infrastructure as well as lobbying for No Cars Day at Skopje during this EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK.
During this mobile conference, as part of the whole learning experience, while biking from one info point to another the participants will experience the bike infrastructure of Skopje.
Target group(s): Young people (age 16-29)
Objectives: To raise awareness among young people about their personal carbon footprint when using different means of transportation and to motivate them to use their bikes or the public transport instead of their own cars while moving through the City.
Expected Outcomes: 20 motivated young people who are aware of their carbon footprint and who are determined to use their bikes for moving around the City as often as they can.
