Detailed description (English): Buskerud Council and BOZAR have joined forces and have coproduced the two-day conference ‘Human Explorer’. You are cordially invited to embark on an expedition into solutions for sustainable autonomous transport systems on September 17th and 19th.
We invite you to come and be inspired, and to reflect upon the evolution and future of autonomous transportation systems: How will automation of transport systems influence the development of sustainable cities; what impact on economic growth and the transition to sustainable industries; how can this technology contribute to climate actions and play a part in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; how will automation affect society and quality of life of citizens.
Norway has a long-standing tradition of pushing human mobility to its limits through its historic polar explorers, using state-of-the-art technology. As a ‘house of change’ in the heart of the European Capital, BOZAR is the ideal platform to discuss and reflect upon solutions for future mobility systems.
Tuesday 17 September the notion of mobility is approached from a broader vantage point. Can we maintain our current level of mobility and at the same time support the climate actions and build new sustainable cities? How can autonomous technology play a role in the creation of sustainable industries, stimulate economic growth and cater to the quality of life of citizens.
Wednesday 18 September youth representatives from Belgium and Norway will give their policy advice for more sustainable communities and transport systems to decision makers (closed event)
Thursday 19 September we crossover into the future. Shedding more light on the latest developments on autonomous mobility at sea, inland waterways and in the city. How will they affect our transport systems, urban development and the way we organise our societies.
Target group(s): Researchers and universities, technology developers, industry, mobility companies, logistics and shipping, public authorities, service providers, the general public etc.
Objectives: We want to bring stakeholders together to exchange ideas on how autonomy can contribute to building sustainable transport systems, cities and societies.
Expected Outcomes: Create new partnerships and collaborations between mobility stakeholders from different countries in Europe to develop solutions for sustainable transport together.
Partner: BOZAR Centre for Fine Arts, Brussels.
