Detailed description (English): On 17 September FIA Region I will participate in EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK with the launch of its latest campaign #ParkYourPhone.
Campaign materials, a polaroid photo booth and the campaign animation will be available on that day next to the Touring Club Belgium stand at Rue de la Loi 44, 1040 Brussels 10-17h on 17 September. In addition to the launch of the #ParkYourPhone campaign, Touring Club Belgium will be offering a bicycle check-up and free personalised reflective vests and a number of other giveaways.
The campaign is aimed at the increasing number of distracted road users that are using mobile phones as they navigate through traffic. To combat this alarming trend, FIA Region I and Touring Club Belgium are launching the campaign #ParkYourPhone, with the message to stay focused on the road. It will target drivers, pedestrians and cyclists. The goal of the campaign is to raise more awareness about distraction, show dangers of being distracted and decrease the number of distracted road users. In addition to the European launch in Belgium, there are over 20 countries throughout Europe that are supporting this campaign and will be launching it throughout the autumn of 2017.
