Detailed description (English): Promoted by the Province of Livorno and by the Municipalities of Livorno, Cecina, Collesalvetti and Rosignano, a series of interventions on the territory of infrastructural and organizational character will be carried out, reinforced by initiatives aimed at promoting the use of the works and services created.
Cyclist and pedestrian mobility, taxibus and car2job, car sharing services in the urban area and company car sharing form the core of the project that will center on a strong coordination action of the local bodies involved, focused on the role of area mobility management carried out by the Province of Livorno.
Local Authorities will count on the support of an important private partnership, identified through appropriate public consultation, which involves subjects with a consolidated experience in the management of similar projects at national and European level: the Temporary Business Network between the National Research Council, the Institute of Biometeorology, Simurg Ricerche and the WWF Livorno and Fiab Livorno Associations, which will support the implementation of the Operational Plan, promotion and communication, monitoring and training and awareness raising actions at schools on the use of sustainable modes of transport.
In addition to the interventions provided for in the various municipalities, transversal actions will be particularly important, which will affect all territories, among which the EuroMobility Association stands out with the training of school and company Mobility Managers, who will then be able to carry out training in their turn. specific in schools and workplaces, in order to effectively promote the start of activities implemented by the project.
Another important contribution is that from CRAS to the design and specialized activities of monitoring and estimating the environmental benefits of the project.
For the students of the interested Municipalities, XP assisted bicycles will be provided by Pepa Italia.
Detailed description (original language): Il Progetto MODI’ finanziato all’80% dal Ministero dell’Ambiente nell’ambito del Programma Sperimentale Nazionale di Mobilità Sostenibile casa-scuola e casa-lavoro promuove la mobilità sostenibile attraverso interventi che incrementano sia l’utilizzo di modalità di spostamento dolce sia lo sviluppo di forme integrate di trasporto pubblico nelle aree a domanda debole.
Promosso dalla Provincia di Livorno e dai Comuni di Livorno, Cecina, Collesalvetti e Rosignano, saranno realizzati una serie di interventi diffusi sul territorio a carattere infrastrutturale e organizzativo, rafforzati da iniziative che avranno la finalità di promuovere proprio l’utilizzo delle opere e dei servizi creati.
Mobilità ciclistica e pedonale, taxibus e car2job, servizi di carsharing nell’area urbana e car sharing aziendale costituiscono il cuore del progetto che farà perno su una forte azione di coordinamento degli enti locali coinvolti, incentrata sul ruolo di Mobility management d’area svolto dalla Provincia di Livorno.
Gli Enti locali conteranno sul supporto di un importante partenariato a componente privata, individuata tramite apposita consultazione pubblica, che vede coinvolti soggetti con una consolidata esperienza nella gestione di progetti similari a livello nazionale ed europeo:
la Rete Temporanea di Imprese tra Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche Istituto di Biometeorologia, Simurg Ricerche e le Associazioni WWF Livorno e Fiab Livorno che si occuperanno del supporto per la realizzazione del Piano Operativo, della promozione e comunicazione, delle azioni di monitoraggio e della formazione e sensibilizzazione presso le scuole sull'uso di modalità di trasporto sostenibili.
Oltre agli interventi previsti nei vari comuni, di particolare importanza saranno le azioni trasversali, che interesseranno tutti i territori, tra le quali spicca l'Associazione EuroMobility con la formazione dei Mobility Manager scolastici e aziendali, i quali successivamente potranno effettuare a loro volta una formazione specifica nelle scuole e nei luoghi di lavoro, al fine di promuovere efficacemente l’avvio delle attività implementate dal progetto.
Un altro importante contributo è quello proveniente dal Centro Ricerche Applicate Sviluppo Sostenibile Contributo CRAS alla progettazione ed attività specialistiche di monitoraggio e stima dei benefici ambientali del progetto.

Construction of the second lot of the cycle path of the Municipality of Collesalvetti, for a length of 600 meters.

Expected Outcomes: PEDIBUS: it is planned to activate 5 pedestrian routes in Rosignano, with an average length of 600 meters, a total of 3 km; and 5 routes to Livorno with an average length of 400 meters, a total of 2.0 km. Utilization equal to 30% of the total enrollments in the schools involved.
CAR SHARING "Car to Job" of the Province: intercepts home-work commuting in the provincial territory; it is a mixed service, which could also be assimilated to car pooling. The Car sharing of the Municipality of Livorno is an electric free floating that will be used both for home-work travel (not covered financially by the project) or for work shifts of the employees of the municipality of Livorno and the Province of Livorno).
CAR POOLING: Service aimed at home-school and home-work for the Municipality of Livorno and only home-school for Rosignano. Assumptions 5% users primary schools Rosignano; 5% primary and middle schools Livorno and 1% employees working in the municipality of Livorno. The Municipality of Livorno provides a dedicated SW purchase for an amount of 10,000 euros (+22,000 euros for internal management costs) (1028 users); the municipality of Rosignano plans to re-launch the service (202 users) for a cost of € 6,832 (annual software fee only). Assumed use for only one school year. The average distances traveled are estimated at 15 km / user.
BIKE SHARING: service mainly aimed at home-school (but also possible home-work) in the form of exclusive use 1-2 months in 4 municipalities (Livorno, Collesalvetti, Cecina, Rosignano). Assumed an average distance of 6 km / day (3 + 3) for 200 days / year (1200km / bike year). CYCLE PATHS: 6 km (A / R: 3 + 3) / day for Livorno. For Collesalvetti and Rosignano 3km total (A / R). Average 4.5 km / day.
PEDESTRIAN ROUTES: these are 5 routes with a total length of 1,550 km. Percorrenza madia 500 meters.
DISPLACEMENTS DURING WORKING HOURS: electric car sharing; the potential demand for the Municipality of Livorno is based on the hypothesis of involving 20% of the employees of the Municipality that today use the public fleet of petrol trucks. You have the current 1,000 km / month / car data for a total of 50 km / day. With three trips a day (of two hours each) we obtain a datum equal to 16 km A / R, and it is assumed 8km * 2 (16km A / R).
TRAINING: 2 training courses for business and school MM; training / game snake traffic game aimed at 5000 users; training on soft mobility use, 30 courses for 750 users.
GOOD MOBILITY: target high school students; annual miles per user equal to 691.47 and 800.00. About 69 euros / beneficiary. It is assumed to reach 43% of users a / r * l, 2 km / displacement * 220 days a year (33% already use for soft mobility study).
TAXI-SCHOOL: 8,000 journeys / students per year (4 students per 2,000 journeys) with an average distance of 4km (2km and 2km return)
