Three finalists to the European Mobility Week Award!

From 16 to 22 September 2011, a record 2,268 European towns and cities officially participated in the tenth annual edition of European Mobility Week (EMW) and invited their citizens to a wide range of activities promoting sustainable urban mobility. The 2011 campaign theme – “Alternative Mobility” - aimed at supporting the transition towards a resource-efficient transport system by promoting clean, fuel-efficient modes and human-powered transport. All participating local authorities complying with the criteria of the European Mobility Week Charter were invited to apply for the European Mobility Week Award 2011.

Vote for the best European multimodal journey planner!

Although Europe boasts more than 100 different journey planners, not one of them covers all countries and all transport modes. The technology exists and the need is there to give travellers practical tools allowing them to choose how to travel, be it quickly, cheaply or in a way that least affects the environment.

Street painting competing in Austria

During European Mobility Week 2011 a street painting competing was held in Austrian municipalities. More than 30 municipalities participated and some of them even coloured the streets with permanent colours.
