EU mobility community invited to give feedback on draft of revised SUMP Guidelines

19 June 2019

European mobility stakeholders – the draft second edition of the European SUMP Guidelines is now available to read and download!

The document was launched during the opening plenary of the 6th EU Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan Conference in Groningen (The Netherlands), alongside a wide array of SUMP-related topic guides.

Some of the topics covered include shared mobility, cycling, walking and health and the guides explore how these topics and many more can be supported and integrated into SUMP plans.

This comprehensive revision of one of the EU’s most important mobility planning documents marks a milestone in EU mobility policy.

The update aims to reflect the dynamic developments that have occurred in many areas of urban mobility, and integrate the rich experiences from SUMP implementation that have been acquired since the publication of the first Guidelines in 2013.

Europe’s sustainable mobility community is now invited to provide their feedback on the main Guidelines via the online form here by 9 July 2019.

In addition, feedback can be provided to individual Topic Guide and Practitioner Briefing authors by clicking through the tabulated table on the main Guidelines page. The deadline to give comments on these documents is also 9 July 2019.
