The participant is committed to:

Organising a week of activities, taking into account the focal theme.
Actions relative to the theme:
- promovarea temei “ Imbunatatirea climatului urban” in mass media, pe site-ul primariei municipului Moinesti, in ziarul local “Atitudini” pentru constientizarea cetatenilor, cu precadere a conducatorilor auto cu privire la necesitatea imbunatatirii calitatii aerului si importanta reducerii poluarii prin orice mijloace
- cu ocazia Zilei internationale a stratului de ozon se organizeaza intalniri ale biciclistilor, ale celor ce detin trotinete, triciclete, role, pentru a demonstra astfel că transportul în comun, maşinile personale şi alte forme de deplasare, pot coexista şi pot asigura omului modern opţiuni de deplasare adaptate ritmului alert în care trăim.
Carrying out a Car-Free Day event by closing one or more streets to traffic, and opening it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. This should preferably happen on 22 September to mark your town or city as part of World Car-Free Day.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
- se va restrictiona, vineri, 18.09 si duminica, 20.09, in intervalul orar 9 -17, accesul motorizat pe strada V.Alecsandri, pe tronsonul cuprins intre Club Lira si Primarie, zona aglomerata, situata in centrul municipiului Moinesti.
Implementing one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.
Permanent measures implemented this year:
New or improved bicycle facilities
  • Improvement of bicycle facilities (parking, locks etc)
  • Create or enlarge pedestrian streets
  • Improvement of infrastructure (new foot bridges, pavements, road crossings, zebra crossings etc)
  • Extension or creation of new greenways
Public transport services
  • Improvement and extension of the public transport network (creation of HOV lanes for public transport modes, new stops, new lines, reserved areas etc)
Traffic calming and access control scheme
  • Speed reduction programmes in zones near schools
  • Reduction of outside parking zones
  • Create park and ride stations
  • New traffic regulations: traffic circulation and parking
  • Enlargement of pavements
  • Removal of architectonic barriers
  • Create useful tool for people with reduced mobility
New forms of vehicle use and ownership
Mobility management
  • Create/establish mobility centers and on-line information services (eg travel planner)
  • Launch of awareness-raising campaigns
  • Elaboration of educational materials
  • Development of travel plans / mobility plans in consultation with local stakeholders
  • Permanent access restriction to city centres
